SUNDAY STATS || FEATS

In addition to ability scores and skills, you can further customize what your character's particular areas of specialty are through feats. Feats are special features that provide your character with new capabilities or improvements. Unlike skills, feats have no ranks. You either have a feat and get the benefits provided, or you don't. Also unlike skills, feats are not bought with points. You simply choose them for your character at first level, and then get a new one every 3 levels, as indicated on the following chart:

Take note that this chart reflects how feats progress for human characters only. All humans get two feats at first level. Non-humans, however, only get one feat at first level, and then get their 2nd feat at level 3, 3rd feat at level 6, etc.

Some starting occupations offer bonus feats, so double check the occupation you selected either here or here. Everyone gets "Simple Weapons Proficiency" for free.

Many classes will also offer bonus feats at certain levels. For example, the smart hero gets a bonus feat at level two. The difference in class-provided feats is that you can't select from the entire feat list - you're given a short list of feats that relate to the class to choose from. You can find that list at the bottom of the class page. In this case:

"At 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, and 10th level, the Smart hero gains a bonus feat. This feat must be selected from the following list, and the Smart hero must meet any prerequisites.

Bonus Feat list: Builder, Cautious, Combat Expertise, Educated, Gearhead, Improved Disarm, Improved Trip, Iron Will, Lightning Reflexes, Meticulous, Studious, Vehicle Expert, Weapon Focus."

For information on what specific feats are and how they function, check out the page here.

If you have questions on certain feats, don't hesitate to ask! Note that some feats require pre-requisites. In other words (just like with the talent trees), you'll have to take another feat first in order to make that feat available to your character.

I am completely fine with you taking feats from generic feat books as long as you clear them with me first! You can do that on plurk, aim, the mod contact post, or here. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND checking out the book "Feats" by AEG. If you google Feats by AEG, you can probably locate it. The cover looks like this. All Feats in this book are game!

I'll also be putting up the ability to spend XP to buy extra feats up in the Plot Shop. 8) You're welcome.
