FIVE YEARS + Game Business
... and then life happened.
Most, if not all players in this game know by now that the game has slowed down considerably over the last year, because of a series of events in my real life that have basically reduced the time and mental resources that I have to finish out the last chapter finale and chapter of this game. I never expected this sort of soft hiatus to go this long, or I would have made a more official announcement of it sooner, but I have been endlessly appreciative of the patience that you all have demonstrated, particularly given where some of your plots were hanging when things petered out as they did.
I have never ever considered stepping away and not returning to finish, and it has been very heartening for me to hear from some of you that you will be here whenever I can get back.
Well, that time has finally come, bitches. I am full of excitement and enthusiasm to make this work, but was also really sad to realize that with everything happening in my outside life, I somehow MISSED OUR FIVE YEAR ANNIVERSARY, but it would have seemed silly to have that post when the game was half-dead anyway, so we're considering this it. Technically, the game is now 5 years and 3 months, which is amazing and humbling, and I cannot tell you all how happy it has made me. I hope it has brought you enough joy to offset the horrible things that I sometimes like to do to your characters.
There will be no five year anniversary survey - instead I ask that if you are still interested in playing in Knights of Legend with this sort of soft re-opening as it were, that you just leave a comment on this post of any kind. Those who do not comment in the next month will be placed on the Deactivated list but may re-activate officially at anytime (remember, there is no penalty for doing this).
I may contact each current mission group and discuss whether they want to finish their thread, hand-wave and discuss the ending, or Skype it out, just so that we get a bit of a 'fresh start'. All of you who have continued tagging your missions over this last year are my heroes. I'm sorry that I couldn't be nearly as consistent as some of you. I'm working on mapping out all the plotlines in the game and figuring out what needs doing in each of them, but I will probably require lots of input from you all to make sure I don't miss things. I considered erasing the last OOC year from the timeline, to make things make more sense, but I think that we can use the months of hand-waved time to let things have come to a simmer in character relationships/plots/etc. since I know that it can be hard to jump right back into the mood of where things were so long ago. I will need everyone to act as if it makes sense ICly for all this time to have passed with certain things still hanging in the air in order for this to work.
I apologize again for real life overriding my responsibilities to you all but thank every one of you, whether you choose to stay or not, for the memories, the patience, the kindness, and the heart that you have continually brought to my game. I love every one of you. And as a special anniversary gift, everyone receives 10,000xp to dole out between their characters as they see fit. This will get added to your Banks automatically, but to redeem it, you must comment on the Experience Point bank, telling me how much you want given to each character. The only limitation is that you may put no more than 5,000 of it towards any character who is level 15 or higher.
Happy trails, Knights of Legend. The best is hopefully yet to come...

Unfortunately, I don't think Bobby's voice has stuck around so he will probably not be a thing, but as he never showed up in game, he can be reopened up in case someone else wants to try their hand at him.
