Well, since the game officially opens as of Tuesday -> Wednesday at midnight EST, I figured I would put this up now, so we have a chance to do introductions!  Rather than having everyone make an individual OOC post, I thought we could do it all in one get-to-know-each-other post like this.  

For one, this game may be different from others you have been in, because when it comes to your original characters, you are encouraged not to OOCly tell other people all about their background/secrets/etc.  I'm going to run this as much like a tabletop campaign as possible without bogging it down in rules and mechanics, but the act of being surprised along with your characters, ICly and OOCly, is an essential part of the fun in that!  This is why all apps are screened, btw.  

However, there are things that would be obvious off your character off the bat, so feel free to talk about any of those things / their surface personality / appearance / skills / etc!  And you can use this post to share any other info you think would be useful for others to know about the way you like to game / your time zone / etc.  :)  

I am INCREDIBLY EXCITED ABOUT THIS, GUYS.  And ask you to be open and communicative with me on any questions you might have that crop up as we go along.  \o\

Anyway! Hey guys- I'm Alli and I'll be bringing in this girl here who is NOT a character from the Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire. She's from another set of books entirely. Her name is Myrilandel and I do not expect you to know anything about her because I do not think anyone else in the world has ever read her trilogy /sobs She's going to be slow to get close to anyone, but that doesn't mean that I don't look forward to threading with each and every one of you! She just won't make a best friend right away. Don't be offended, k? <3

I'm a major D&D nerd and this game warms my heart because it means I can use all my years of gaming experience and put them to an epic use.

Irene Radford's Dragon Nimbus History. The first book is called The Dragon's Touchstone.

Totally worth digging for :D
