Well, since the game officially opens as of Tuesday -> Wednesday at midnight EST, I figured I would put this up now, so we have a chance to do introductions!  Rather than having everyone make an individual OOC post, I thought we could do it all in one get-to-know-each-other post like this.  

For one, this game may be different from others you have been in, because when it comes to your original characters, you are encouraged not to OOCly tell other people all about their background/secrets/etc.  I'm going to run this as much like a tabletop campaign as possible without bogging it down in rules and mechanics, but the act of being surprised along with your characters, ICly and OOCly, is an essential part of the fun in that!  This is why all apps are screened, btw.  

However, there are things that would be obvious off your character off the bat, so feel free to talk about any of those things / their surface personality / appearance / skills / etc!  And you can use this post to share any other info you think would be useful for others to know about the way you like to game / your time zone / etc.  :)

I am the mod and Game Master of knightsoflegend, and I... already know everyone who happens to be here right now, but WHATEVER, I AM INTRODUCING MYSELF ANYWAYS. B|

I won't be playing any "PCs" so to speak in this game, but I will be playing a gigantic cast of NPCs, who will be super involved in things, and act... more or less... like playable characters, except that they are my chess pieces to get certain plot events, storylines, etc. moved along. As they're introduced into the game, you will be able to see all of them listed here at any time.

Trying to run a DW RP in this style has long been a dream of mine, and the storyline of this game will be based directly off the plot of a campaign I ran for my friends back between 2003 and 2005. I'm interested to see how it diverges, and apologize in advance for how much of the soundtrack will seem ridiculously dated.

Oh, yeah. By the way, I obsessively soundtrack everything, and you can expect to see musical cues in mod posts and NPC threads, all of the time. You can find clues to the plot line in a lot of the songs, so if you're the type who likes to obsess over that kind of thing... well, you will have lots to do.

All he remembers from home is the full plot of the television show Passions. It should be interesting since I've never SEEN Passions, but that is what Wikipedia and Google are for.

Andie Dodge is my OC. She's got the power to run really, really, really fast and the attention span to match it. Also, she's freaking adorable.

Anyway, I currently have Martha Jones, who is from that one show about that dude who travels through time, or something like that. Except she can't actually remember him, whoops. And she's a doctor! Which, you know, is always useful in RPGs, though slightly less useful if you have ~magic~ healers and shit around.

Also I'm currently working on an OC technomage who casts spells with a smartphone. Alas, this does not mean she can throw spherical birds at people this should totally be a spell.

Hey all, I'm Christine! Yeah, I know this is uh...kinda late to put this up, but I just waned to say HEY!

This is my first time online RP-ing in this style...so I am hella nervous. If you see anything that I do wrong, or weird, or...you know just dumb, puh-lease tell me! I really want to do well, and would rather not embarrass myself too darn much :P.

My character Alainn is actually the first ever D&D character I played, and she is original to the plot of this game, though not exactly in the time frame which we are playing. She is a Mage (spellcaster), who walks around with a huge red-tailed hawk hanging off her arm most of the time. She also happens to have an extremely heavy Irish accent, which is hard to get across through typing, though I will attempt some grammatical changes to help prod that along. When I played her for the 2 years which the actual Table-top RPG lasted, I spoke the entire time with the Irish accent, so it's near and dear to my heart :).

I'm glad to meet you all, and excited to try this out!

I'm Brandi, and I'm going to be playing Vanille from Final Fantasy XIII here. I've never done a single D&D thing in my entire life, so this is a new and very nervewracking experience for me, but I'm really excited! I will need hand holding and help, I'm sure, but I restate that I'm very excited.

Vanille is from Final Fantasy XIII and her job/class in game is essentially a mage. She has a wandering Australian accent that shows up heavily sometimes and then is hardly there at all others, so...I apologize for that now. She comes across as very hyper and occasionally annoyingly so, and is very animated and expressive. She uses her hands to express a lot of things, so I hope that comes through when tagging with her. She has a bad habit of closing her eyes and thinking of better times, or just up and running away when scary/bad things happen. This will happen frequently.

I think I know quite a few of you, but I'm excited to meet everyone I don't already know yet. ♥

Hi, I'm Karen. I'm playing Francecsa, an original character who I also played in the table top RP of this game a few years back. This is my first online RP and I'm very excited for it, but very nervous too, so forgive me if I'm slow in the start.

Francesca has been a Knight of the Silver Dragon for over 100 years at this point and is a Freelance Knight, which means she doesn't belong to a particular sect but fills in on missions where needed. She's a drow, or dark elf, and has dark skin and white hair. She can sometimes be very reserved and private, but is friendly and assuring in one-to-one social situations.

hi! I'm Amber, and I'm bringing in everyone's favourite once and future king. he's from BBC's Merlin which enjoys differing wildly from Arthurian legend and indeed from... commonly-known historical facts! yeah!!! have some contact info, there is also a lot of stuff in this journal.

I've played Arthur in a few games, but this is the first time I've experimented with memoryloss, and I'm really excited to have Arthuriana built so strongly into the game's premise, so I look forward to a lot of character development.

I've been tabletop gaming for about twelve years, though my campaigns died down to accommodate my obsession with online journal rp which I guess I became really heavily involved with six years ago. While I've played quite a few D&D campaigns, my interest has always been with D10s and I'm mostly only a munchkin in the various White Wolf 'verses. (you know, that knowledge level difference between a few casual games and GMing for a two year campaign.)

basically this RPG is my wet dream and I'm so excited to be here. idk if I will app anyone else since Arthur uses up about 90% of my online time, but I have a Rokugan OC that I played for a 26-levels-in-52-weeks OA campaign whose core concept and history I think would adapt really well to this setting, so we'll see!

also I have no belief in dice magic so I use Pip for iPhone. I know, I know.

So hello I'm late getting to this, but my name is Rebecca and I am playing Andrea here. She is, as you can probably guess, a pirate. But don't let the word scare you. She was actually a privateer, which if you don't know is basically an...anti-pirate pirate. I pretty much eat, sleep and breathe D&D when I'm not RPing around here. I think I've been at it about seven years now. I actually have a YouTube channel filled with videos from some of our games. Andrea is in fact a former character from a fairly recent campaign, though nowadays we run Pathfinder, which is basically still D&D with less balance issues.

Idk if this will get read, but hey, what will it hurt! I'm Joysweeper. This is Scout. She's one of my favorite characters ever, basically a young Jedi with weak powers and a lot of heart. Another author took her and had her survive Order Sixty-Six but also kind of. Mangled her character horribly. But that's what amnesia is for!

She's good at choking people and treating wounds. She's best at scoping out situations. She's not so good at the Force, and she's abysmal at giving up.

HI AND HELLO I am Emily and this is David Levin from the Everworld books! He's aged up about a decade and has spent most of that time pillaging as a Viking and trying to save the world.

The gist of David is that when he was sixteen years-old he was kidnapped to an alternate dimension where the pagan pantheons of old had set up shop when people stopped believing in them and basically never had their followers move past the Middle Ages, so arriving in this universe is going to be quite the culture shock for him, but he will adapt quickly, as he always does.

So after like five years of wanting to join this game but being too chickenshit despite all of the peer pressure, I'm finally here. Whether this works out in your favor or not remains to be seen. For those who are curious, I bring with me absolutely no table top roleplaying experience whatsoever, and The Warden from Dragon Age: Origins. Or, my version of him anyway.

I know, human noble Wardens are a dime a dozen, but I can't be tamed. I usually play him as a rogue because the rogue talents and skills tend to translate to reality a lot easier (plus, it's the most fun out of the three classes in the game--I literally fell asleep playing as a mage). Given the D&D aspect of this game is entirely new to me, I wanted to make it as simple for myself as possible (read: no magical talents or abilities that would translate to magical talents).

Let's be real though, Arden still had to hold my hand and walk me through my baby steps (thanks again btw). But yes, I've finally arrived. :')

So after being enabled into this game by Alli and Tifa IRL I finally managed to piece together an app and find a character that would work for me. I don't have a lot of experience with table top RPing but I'm hoping to get acclimated to the game anyway and learn a thing or two from the rest of you more experienced players!

I'm Nic and my first character in the game will be Jimmy Novak from Supernatural. He'll be a Paladin, because I thought that was the most fitting thing for him, and he'll be pretty at odds with everything at first because he's a bratty man-child. LBR.

hi! i'm christina and i'm bringing in diana meade, faye's cousin and rival in canon! they won't know about any of that of course bc diana's just as veilnesia'd as faye is, but if you need a quick reference she's basically faye's polar opposite and also literally the kindest and most helpful person you will ever meet probably

she's a witch though she won't remember it so her powers are going to be really wonky for a while: see her dumping seawater on faye in the test-drive thread

she's also not aligned with chaos the way faye is, and she tends to use helpful, simple spells and basic household magic + she is a tree-hugging vegetarian hippie 16-year-old with a tendency to take people under her wing even though she's uh one of the youngest people here

also she's from 1992 and has a talent for scrying and homeopathic remedies, yeah
