Well, since the game officially opens as of Tuesday -> Wednesday at midnight EST, I figured I would put this up now, so we have a chance to do introductions!  Rather than having everyone make an individual OOC post, I thought we could do it all in one get-to-know-each-other post like this.  

For one, this game may be different from others you have been in, because when it comes to your original characters, you are encouraged not to OOCly tell other people all about their background/secrets/etc.  I'm going to run this as much like a tabletop campaign as possible without bogging it down in rules and mechanics, but the act of being surprised along with your characters, ICly and OOCly, is an essential part of the fun in that!  This is why all apps are screened, btw.  

However, there are things that would be obvious off your character off the bat, so feel free to talk about any of those things / their surface personality / appearance / skills / etc!  And you can use this post to share any other info you think would be useful for others to know about the way you like to game / your time zone / etc.  :)  

I am INCREDIBLY EXCITED ABOUT THIS, GUYS.  And ask you to be open and communicative with me on any questions you might have that crop up as we go along.  \o\

hey! I'm Amber! oldbies will remember me as playing Arthur Pendragon and Lear here many moons ago. well, speaking of moons, I've decided to throw myself at the game again, and I'm starting with Derek Hale from that totally unpopular canon that nobody plays from, Teen Wolf.

Derek isn't a teen, but he is a wolf. he's also landing in the world with zero memories, though most of his personality as a controlling, grouchy asshole with trust issues is going to remain intact. he's also kept his general knowledge, skills, and some werewolf control stuff. technically his canonpoint is the end of S3A, where he nopes off with Cora, but that makes no difference to the level of ??? he's going to have about anything anyone brings up about Beacon Hills.

when it comes to contacting me, your best bet is my email, escapism @ gmail. if you don't like email, you're welcome to use it to ask me to chat in a space you are comfortable with — I have aim, skype, irc, gchat, etc, I just don't jump on unless it's prearranged. you can also pm me, or drop a quick comment on my hmd/contact.

you can also private plurk me! I deliberately don't use plurk for rp, and try to keep my list small, so I would prefer not to add anyone I'm not really good friends with. however the plurk itself is darach and I accept private plurks from non-friends. feel free to harass me in mutual friends' plurks if you see me around. :)

I am Emily and I think we've played together a couple of times before, as well as chatted briefly in Arden's plurk but I play a handful of other knights but the important one is this little lady.
